Dr. Robb T. Shibayama was born and raised in Mililani, Hawaii. He graduated from Mililani High School and later attended University of Hawaii at Manoa where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. His degree focused on health psychology-a specialty area of psychology that focuses on the behavioral and social factors that influence health and illness. With an understanding of the psychology of health care, he attended Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon where he graduated with distinction earning a Doctor of Optometry degree.
Dr. Robb practices comprehensive medical-based optometry. In practice, he is known for his comprehensive approach for managing and maintaining vision and eye health. He routinely performs diabetic and glaucoma testing and medically treats red and/or pink eyes. He is also known for his management of dry eye syndrome. Hawaii Vision Associates is the largest optometry practice in the state of Hawaii that routinely diagnoses and treats dry eye syndrome and its associated signs and symptoms. He routinely uses punctal plug or tear savers in the treatment and management of dry eye syndrome.
Throughout his years of practice, Dr. Robb has established himself as a much loved practitioner. He prides himself on his bedside manner and developing close relationships with his patients.
Dr. Robb is a man of many interests. In his free-time he enjoys singing and playing his ukulele. In his early years he could be found playing alongside friends in Acoustic Soul. Currently, his main focus is spending time with his family. He has two beautiful children and a dog, Spot.
